“Safeguard police and minimize the toll on civilians, this is our stand.”

With more that 54,000,000 yearly service interactions with the public, police officers can sometimes find themselves in dire straits and need to make life and death decisions in split seconds.

There are approximately 54,000,000 police interactions with the public each year, which increase the chances that something can go wrong.

In these incredibly difficult circumstances, sometimes errors in judgment occur and situations that in hindsight could have been deescalated end up in tragedy.

When an innocent civilian dies, it creates a public back lash that tarnishes the incredible work and sacrifice that police officers provide to millions of members of the public which they serve
